Our Expertise
For more than 15 years, Harvard Catalyst has provided training and support to thousands of researchers from more than 250 institutions, including Harvard University’s schools and affiliate academic healthcare centers. We have designed more than two dozen educational offerings on a wide range of topics, and curriculum development has been guided by a partnership between expert faculty from across Harvard-affiliated healthcare centers and professional educators/instructional designers.
Communication is a critical boundary-crossing skill that spans our offerings. We know that clear and engaged communication propels research further and faster, moving us that much closer to improved human health.
We launched this Writing and Communication Center in March 2021 to empower clinical and translational research team members, in every stage of their careers, to better articulate their science. We offer self-paced online learning content, workshops, and consultation services. See our Guidance for Users page for more information about navigating our content.

Harvard Catalyst, founded in 2008, is a shared enterprise of Harvard University, devoted to advancing human health by supporting clinical and translational science, and training the next generation of researchers. We are partially funded by the NIH National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS) through its Clinical and Translational Science Awards Program, grant number UL1TR002541, together with funding from Harvard Medical School and affiliate academic healthcare centers. As part of a collaborative network of more than 60 centers across the U.S. funded by NCATS, our mission is to catalyze innovative methods and technologies that will enhance the development, testing, and implementation of diagnostics and therapeutics across a wide range of human diseases and conditions.
