Human Participant Research Training for Community Partners
Community engagement in research offers a range of benefits to both researchers and their community partners, from enhancing study reach and impact to building capacity and trust. When community partners are engaged as part of the study team, they may need to complete training to protect study participants’ rights, safety, and wellbeing. This training aims to provide community partners with relevant, meaningful information and to equip them with the skills to translate their unique knowledge and abilities to research projects and collaborations.
Below, you will find four foundational modules. Each module includes a brief video and a facilitator’s agenda for discussion in team meetings. Additional materials include a user guide, glossary, slide decks, and brief assessments. We recommend starting with the user guide to learn more about how best to utilize these trainings and materials.
