About i2b2 TranSMART
Medicine is moving towards a more predictive and preventative model and clinical data is central to making this possible. To truly accelerate the benefits of precision medicine, tools to work with this data need to be open source.
The i2b2 tranSMART Foundation has developed open source platforms for data exploration and is building a community around precision medicine to improve tools, provide training, and build partnerships.
Harvard Catalyst works with the i2b2 tranSMART Foundation and provides support for their mission with personnel, resources, and community engagement.
The Foundation develops and maintains i2b2, which is an integral part of open source software like SHRINE and networks like ENACT.
