Outcomes
Outcomes in implementation science focus on evidence-based research, policies, and interventions. These are distinct from ‘service’ or ‘system’ outcomes which are typically measured in health services or clinical research, such as disease status, health behaviors, or biomarkers. Documenting outcomes is critical for communicating the results of implementation.
