Seminar: The Impact of On-Going Conflicts on Women’s Basic Needs

Our fourth discussion circle will highlight the impact of the mass suffering of women through starvation, displacement, and acute lack of medical care because of the ongoing conflicts in Gaza, Sudan, and Haiti. We will discuss the tragic loss of basic human rights for women in these areas and its long-lasting impact on peace building and post-conflict reconciliation. A panel of experts will share their research and analysis on this topic, followed by small group discussions.

Discussion circles are an initiative of GlobalWE to discuss current, pressing news items in a timely manner. We work to empower women by addressing fundamental hindrances to their equality and wellbeing; in the same vein, we want to offer a space to discuss pressing topics of the day in a respectful manner.
