Becoming Independent
Investigators emerging from a mentored research framework into the world of independent research will be building and leading teams, creating and communicating a vision for the path forward, and winning grant support from a diverse set of funders. Accomplishing these milestones will require new skillsets, including being a leader and a mentor for investigators in earlier career stages.
Grant Review and Support Program (GRASP)
GRASP is a longitudinal program that provides Career Development Award recipients grant-related guidance and support throughout the duration of their award so that they can successfully apply for R01 or equivalent funding. The curriculum is focused on providing participants with grant-writing skills, project management tools/strategies, and mentorship.
