Symposium: Tufts CTSI Translational Science Day
This year’s annual Tufts Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI) Translational Science Day symposium will focus on “Beyond Thoughts and Prayers: Translating Gun Policy Science into Action to Reduce Firearm Violence.” This event will feature success stories at both the state and federal level and will explore how policymakers, academics, activists, and other stakeholders can help bridge the cultural and political divide to enact lasting and effective gun violence prevention policy.
This event is free to attend and will take place virtually.

- Rob Wilcox (Former deputy director of the Office of Gun Violence Prevention and special assistant to the President)
- Pastor Cory B. Brooks (CEO of Project HOOD)
- Christian Heyne (Vice president, Policy and Programs at Brady)
- Alia Harvey Quinn (Founder and executive director, Force Detroit)
- Jocelyn Benson (Michigan’s 43rd Secretary of State)
- Natasha Bagdasarian (Chief medical executive, Michigan Department of Health and Human Services)
- Cedric Dark (Emergency physician and author of “Under the Gun: An ER Doctor’s Cure for America’s Gun Epidemic”)
- Michael Dandorph (President and CEO, Tufts Medicine)
