Workshop: Culturally Responsive & Sustaining Education (CRSE) Inclusive Teaching

Join us for a virtual interactive workshop open to all faculty and teaching staff across Harvard University on Culturally Responsive & Sustaining Education (CRSE) Teaching Practices to explore how to decolonize your curriculum through antiracist and social justice frameworks and make connections to students. CRSE provides a framework for learner-centered instruction that values students’ cultural and racial identities and lived experiences, leverages underrepresented voices, and empowers learners to be catalysts for change. Through this framework, you can support learners to critically reflect upon systems of power, privilege, and oppression. We will model teaching strategies that you can apply to both an online and in-person class and you will have the opportunity to connect with others who are committed to teaching and learning from different schools and departments at Harvard.

This workshop is part of the Inclusive Teaching Workshop Series hosted by the Department of Teaching & Learning (DTL) in the Division of Continuing Education (DCE) at Harvard University.

Facilitator: Zahra Ahmed, Faculty Development Specialist, zahraahmed@g.harvard.edu
