Symposium: Wilson C. Hayes Musculoskeletal Research: Legacy and the Future

One-day symposium celebrating the extraordinary scientific contributions and mentorship legacy of Wilson C. Hayes, founder of the Orthopaedic Biomechanics Laboratory at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and a pioneering figure in the development of musculoskeletal biomechanics.

Over the course of his career, Hayes trained and mentored an extraordinary community of investigators who have gone on to shape biomechanics, orthopaedic research, implant design, and musculoskeletal modeling worldwide. This symposium will bring together many of these former trainees and collaborators to reflect on Hayes’s impact and to highlight new advances inspired by his work.

The program will include reflections from former trainees and collaborators, scientific presentations, and more.

Early-career investigators (graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and junior faculty) are encouraged to submit abstracts of their work in musculoskeletal health by August 3. Oral and poster presentations will be selected by the scientific committee by August 24.

Register by August 31.
