Seminar: Housing, Homelessness, and Health: What do we Know About Housing and Health and What is Being Done?

Please join us for a seminar focused on the current status of housing, homelessness and health in Massachusetts.  Speakers will discuss how these issues are connected, what is being done, models of community development, and pending legislation that could address some of the issues, as well as community perspectives.

This is the first seminar in a three-part series on Housing, Homelessness and Health: Evidence, Policy, and Impact. The series is for all interested parties, especially community members. Each session will focus on a different topic related to the housing crisis.

Speakers:

  • Tom Byrne, MSW, PhD, associate professor at the Boston University School of Social Work
  • Jeneczka Roman, MPH, assistant director of advocacy and communication at Massachusetts Public Health Association (MPHA)
  • Elizabeth González Suárez, MA:, vice president of Community Life for The Community Builders (TCB)
