Implementation Science K Award Peer Mentorship Group – Summer 2026
Harvard Catalyst’s “Prepping for a K Award in Implementation Science” Peer Group is a 11-week program designed for individuals planning to submit a K award application within 6 months of starting the program. Participants will prepare and refine sections of a competitive career development award grant application through feedback from faculty and peers.
At the time of selection, participants should have an early draft of their Specific Aims, one of which should use implementation science methods. Eligible applicants must be prepared to commit to participate in all aspects of the program, which will run between June 2026 and August 2026. This will average 5 hours per week during the program and will include:
1. Attending two 60-90 minute virtual small-group meetings to kick off (week of 6/22) and wrap up the program (week of 8/24)
2. Actively writing each section of your grant and adhering to grant draft section submission deadlines with access to grant preparation lectures and tools that have been extensively used by other successful K awardees (approximately 8-10 hours, every two weeks)
3. Integrating expert feedback from faculty into iterative drafts (approximately 1-2 hours, every two weeks)
4. Reviewing draft grant sections from peers and providing feedback by designated deadlines (approximately 1-2 hours, every two weeks)
5. Communicating regularly with your primary mentor, and meeting as needed, regarding grant draft revisions.
If you have general questions or questions about whether your research relates to the program, please email Heidi Zakoul, Program Manager for the Harvard Catalyst Dissemination and Implementation Incubator at hzakoul@bwh.harvard.edu.
Applications will close June 1, 2026 at 11:59PM ET.
