Grand rounds: Blood-based Alzheimer’s Disease Biomarkers: Updates and Opportunities

O’Brien, MD, MSHP, assistant professor of neurology at the University of Pennsylvania and Claire Erickson, PhD, MPA, staff scientist at the Banner Alzheimer’s Institute, will present on Blood-based Alzheimer’s Disease Biomarkers: Updates and Opportunities.

This talk will cover current appropriate use guidelines, how these assays impact clinical care, and new developments in prognostic biomarkers in preclinical Alzheimer’s disease. The presenters will also discuss emerging research questions and opportunities and will share the results of a study examining blood-based Alzheimer’s disease biomarker results disclosure methods in cognitively unimpaired older adults.
