Funding: PCORI – Broad Pragmatic Studies

The Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Funding Announcement (PFA) opens April 1. It will solicit applications for patient-centered comparative clinical effectiveness research (CER) studies comparing two or more approaches for prevention, diagnosis, treatment or care delivery that focus on people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDDs).

PCORI is particularly interested in submissions that address the following Special Areas of Emphasis (SAEs), although applicants are not limited to these areas:

• Oral Health
• Gastrointestinal Health
• Improving Care Delivery and Addressing Ableism

• Up to $60 million in total available funding
• Up to $12 million direct costs available per application
• Total project period: 5 years
