Funding: PCORI – Broad Pragmatic Studies

The Broad Pragmatic Studies Funding Announcement (PFA) opens April 1. It will solicit applications for patient-centered comparative clinical effectiveness research (CER) studies comparing two or more approaches for prevention, diagnosis, treatment or care delivery.

PCORI is particularly interested in submissions that address the following Special Areas of Emphasis (SAEs), although applicants are not limited to these areas:

• Promoting Maternal Sleep Health During Pregnancy and Postpartum
• Addressing the Mental and Behavioral Health Challenges of Individuals Living with Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementias (ADRD) and their Care Partners

• Up to $120 million in total available funding
• Up to $12 million direct costs available depending on topic area
• Total project period: 5 years
