Funding: HMS Postdoctoral Research Fellowship in Integrative Medicine

The Harvard Medical School Research Fellowship in Integrative Medicine is a NIH-funded three-year joint program of Harvard Medical School-affiliated teaching hospitals. The program accepts a diversity of postdoctoral candidates including physicians, cellular and molecular biologists, anthropologists, health behaviorists, computational biologists, sociologists, psychologists and integrative medicine (IM) providers with doctoral degrees who are interested in research training towards academic careers in integrative medicine.

The program is led by research faculty in the Division of General Medicine and Primary Care at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and the Harvard Medical School Osher Center for Integrative Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts. Areas of special interest within Integrative Medicine include (1) the science of mind-body connections, (2) clinical effectiveness of multi-modal and integrative interventions, (3) placebo and the science of human connection, and (4) systems and translational biology of integrative medicine. Other areas of focus and faculty expertise include chronic disease management, cardiometabolic disease, pharmacogenomics of vitamins and supplements, cardiac and pulmonary health, musculoskeletal health, neurocognition, positive behavior change, and healthy aging.
