Data Book Club
This book club, sponsored by the Harvard Data Science Initiative, is open to Harvard students (both undergraduate and graduate), faculty, postdocs, and staff. The book club will be held in-person at the Harvard Science Center (1 Oxford Street, Cambridge) from the week of June 12th through the end of July for a total of seven weeks.
For the first five weeks, we will discuss the book “How Data Happened: A History from the Age of Reason to the Age of Algorithms” by Chris Wiggins and Matthew Jones. For the last two weeks, we will read selected articles from the Harvard Data Science Review. We hope to purchase books for the students who sign up.
Please fill out the RSVP form by Tuesday, May 30 at the latest. On May 31, an email announcement will be sent out with the selected day/time to everyone who filled out the form.
