Lecture: Clonal evolution of MGUS to Multiple Myeloma- 10/19/2018

Dr. Ghobrial will speak about the progression of precursor conditions like MGUS and smoldering MM to late stage MM and WM. Her research has led to over 10 phase I and II clinical trials designed to identify therapeutic agents that can prevent and delay disease progression. Current projects in the laboratory include ctDNA tracking of MM disease burden, therapeutic miRNA manipulation of the bone marrow niche, and elucidation elotuzumab’s mechanism of action to identify novel MM drug targets.
