Paul Conlin is faculty lead of the Clinical and Translational (C/T) Research Academy at Harvard Catalyst. He is chief of the medical service at VA Boston Healthcare System and professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School. Conlin is a practicing endocrinologist at VA Boston. He has conducted clinical trials on the effects of dietary patterns and blood pressure regulation and studied patients with poorly controlled diabetes using e-health platforms and care management. He was a key architect of the VA’s national teleretinal imaging program to screen for diabetic retinopathy. His current research uses health services approaches to study clinical outcomes in patients with diabetes, focusing on hemoglobin A1c variability and medication cost-effectiveness.
