Application Process, Eligibility & Deadlines

Admission Requirements

  • Interest in medical device development, innovation, and translation
  • Endorsement by the immediate supervisor (e.g., department chair, division chief, research team leader, etc.) for time away from clinical/research responsibilities to attend the two-day course
  • An MD, PhD, master's in science or engineering, MBA, or equivalent


Free of charge.* Harvard Catalyst is sponsoring the course as part of its Postgraduate Education Program.

Application Process

Course participants will be selected based upon:

  • Completed application, including statement of interest
  • Receipt of supervisor's endorsement
  • Equitable institutional representation

Priority seating is offered to members of the Harvard Catalyst community. Priority is awarded to additional applicants in the following order:

  1. Massachusetts CTSA affiliates
  2. National CTSA Consortium affiliates
  3. Institutions unaffiliated with the CTSA Consortium (including academic, industry, and government).

* Harvard Catalyst's Postgraduate Education Program offers first priority to applicants who are current Harvard students, faculty, or current employees of Harvard University, its ten schools, and its seventeen Academic Healthcare Centers, or students at Boston College School of Nursing, MIT, or Harvard Pilgrim Health Care.
