Pilot Program #1: Harvard Catalyst Opportunity. Proposals are welcome from broad areas, including physics, neuroscience, physiology, psychology, computer science, engineering, architecture, communication, education, and medicine. Researchers, clinicians, and scientists from any field whose proposal would be responsive to translational aspects of vision science are encouraged to apply.

Pilot Program #2: External Funding Opportunity. The objective of this program is to sponsor innovative projects that will advance treatment solutions limited to the following areas of immediate medical need:

  • light modulation and its impact on neurological disorders such as migraines
  • progression of myopia in a pediatric population
  • phacoemulsification and cataract lens extraction
  • post-surgical refractive intraocular lens (IOL) enhancement
