Niteesh Choudhry, MD, PhD

Postgraduate Education in Clinical and Translational Science

Niteesh Choudhry is associate director of Postgraduate Education in Clinical and Translational Science for Harvard Catalyst. He is professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School, professor in the Department of Health Policy and Management at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, and executive director for the Center for Healthcare Delivery Sciences at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, where he is also a practicing hospitalist. Choudhry’s research focuses on design and evaluation of novel strategies to increase the use of evidence-based therapies for common conditions such as heart disease and diabetes. He is particularly interested in changing patient and provider behavior and his work draws inspiration from a broad range of fields including clinical medicine, economics, cognitive psychology, epidemiology and biostatistics. Choudhry attended McGill University in Quebec and received his MD from the University of Toronto, where he completed his residency training in internal medicine. He earned his PhD in health policy from Harvard University.
