Design and Implementation of Clinical Trials is an advanced course created for clinical investigators who have an idea for development of a clinical trial. Over the course of six, weekly, half-day sessions (8:00am-1:00pm), participants will design a protocol, write an IRB application, and be introduced to issues important for implementing their trial, including but not limited to:

  • Patient/Subject recruitment
  • Budgeting
  • Negotiating with industry
  • Data management
With the help and guidance of the course faculty, including biostatisticians, each participant will leave the course with a completed protocol.

All course materials will be made available to attendees. In order to maximize the learning experience, attendees are expected to commit the time to developing their protocols outside of the weekly course lectures.
