Consulting Programs

Drawing on the expertise of teams of specialists from several Harvard-affiliated schools and academic healthcare centers, the Harvard Catalyst Consulting Programs offer no-cost research consultations to members of the university's research community, including faculty members and postdoctoral fellows, regardless of degree or institutional affiliation.

Harvard Catalyst currently offers the following consulting programs: Biostatistics, Community-Based Participatory Research, Genetics & Bioinformatics, Health Disparities, Imaging, Provider & Health Systems Research, and Research Ethics.

Each program offers advice and counsel regarding scientific fields with broad applicability to clinical and translational research. While much of the expertise available through each program is field-specific, in general each offers consultations on such topics as:

  • Experimental and analytical design
  • Identifying and connecting with collaborators
  • Identifying and accessing resources (e.g., data, technologies)
  • Guidance regarding IRB and human subjects protections
  • Career development guidance

Harvard Catalyst encourages investigators who are applying for Pilot Funding or are developing a clinical protocol that will be conducted via the PCIR program to talk to one or more of the consulting programs as appropriate.

To learn more about the specific offerings of each consultation program, or to request a consultation from one of the programs, please visit the programs' respective web pages.

Please note that when requesting a consultation from any of the Harvard Catalyst consulting programs you will have to log in using either your HMS eCommons ID or your Harvard PIN. (Need help with login?)
