| Supporting novel, collaborative research on critical problems in human health. | Pilot & Collaborative Translational & Clinical Studies Program |
The Pilot and Collaborative Translational and Clinical Studies Program provides early support for innovative, multidisciplinary research, and helps investigators seize opportunities and address obstacles to the completion of their projects by providing appropriate access to advisors, collaborators, and resources, including Pilot Funding. These funds are dedicated to helping develop new collaborations and addressing areas of investigation that are high risk and high impact, especially by investigators who might not traditionally work in the fields of clinical and translational research.
The program is managed by the Harvard Catalyst Research Navigators, four PhD scientists who coordinate the review process and play an active role in supporting Pilot Grant recipients throughout the year of funding. This post-award management provides critical help to awardees as they embark on new areas of investigation.
