    Medical Research Officer Information Sessions
    Please join us to learn about the value medical research officers (MRO) can bring to your research. Available at each of the four Harvard Catalyst Clinical Research Centers (BWH, BCH, MGH, BIDMC), an MRO assists basic science and clinical researchers with planning, implementing, and conducting cross-institutional research. The MRO can also help identify clinical research collaborators, and assist with obtaining medical oversight for some procedures that require an institutionally-credentialed provider. Each session will include a tour of the clinical research center. December 4, 5:00-6:30pm, BWH, Carrie Hall, or December 16, 5:00-6:30pm, MGH, Yawkey Building, Room 4-820.     Advanced Clinical Bone and Body Composition Assessment – December 15, 2014

    Thomas L. Kelly, senior principal scientist from Hologic, Inc., will discuss new DXA applications for skeletal health assessment in adult and pediatric populations. He will offer detailed explanations of primary and derivative measurements of body composition including fat mass, lean mass, and visceral adipose tissue, as well as specific studies and examples demonstrating the clinical utility of DXA body composition measurements.
