Summer Clinical and Translational Research Program (SCTRP) Internship Student Presentations
August 13, 2009, 9:00am - 2:00pm
Benjamin Waterhouse Room
Gordon Hall
Harvard Medical School
25 Shattuck Street, Boston
The Harvard Catalyst Program for Faculty Development and Diversity’s (PFDD) SCTRP internship is a mentored summer research program designed to encourage college students to pursue careers in clinical and/or translational research, as well as to increase the exposure of underrepresented minority and disadvantaged college students to such research. Ten students, drawn from colleges and universities around the country, took part in the 10-week program, working on everything from cell biology to community health while attending weekly seminars by leading members of the Harvard Medical School faculty.
The event will give the SCTRP students an opportunity to present the results of their work, and discuss with Harvard community members what they have learned over the last 10 weeks. A reception will follow the presentations.
The SCTRP complements the Visiting Research Internship Program (VRIP), a similar PFDD program for medical students.
Registration is required to attend this event. To register, or to learn more about the program, contact Vera Yanovsky (617-432-1892).
