3D Slicer Medical Imaging Data Visualization Hands-on Workshop

November 23, 2009, 12:00-1:00 pm
Countway Library, Room 403
Harvard Medical School
10 Shattuck Street, Boston

The Harvard Catalyst Imaging Consortium invites all Harvard-affiliated translational clinical scientists with an interest in medical image computing to a hands-on workshop on November 23. This session will provide members of the research community with practical exposure to the capabilities of the open source 3D Slicer software platform.

The workshop’s learning objectives are:

  1. To enhance interpretation of DICOM images through the use of 3D visualization,
  2. To gain experience with interactive assessment of complex anatomical structures, and
  3. To present current directions for open-source computer graphics applications in radiology, such as the generation of quantitative imaging biomarkers for FDG-PET/CT and volumetric MRI.

After completing the workshop, participants will be able to visualize and analyze their own datasets within the 3D Slicer platform.

For more detailed information on this workshop, visit the Imaging Consortium’s wiki page.

Attendance to this event is limited to 25 individuals, and registration is required. Attendee should RSVP by November 20.
Please send your name, contact information, home department and institution, and a brief description of your research interests to Valerie Humblet (E-mail, 617-667-0288).
